Disabled Vets Property Tax Income Tax Question

For some disabled veterans in 2022.

The state already exempts some vets from paying property tax on their homes if they've been declared 100 disabled from service-related causes.

Does the new law extend that? I believe it does..

SSDI and Earned Income

by K Miller
(Birmingham, AL)

I am on Social Security Disability and am on the Ticket to Work Program. I worked for a company under this program and earned approximately $4900.00 for 2011.

I had no taxes for Federal or State taken out and I have expenses for a home office to deduct. My question is: Where should I go for income tax assistance that will cost the least? I don't think I can do Turbo Tax by myself as this is the first income tax I have had to file since 2000.

VA Comp & SSDI Filing Problems

by Opal
(Crestview, Fl)

Hubby's VA disability compensation is unreported/untaxable income.. our SSDI is also untaxable- based on total income (married couple.. only income)

Due to the above, we haven't filed a return in years.

We have medical expense and mortage interest this year that it looks like we could recoup by filing form 1040.

How can we accomplish this when our expenses outweigh income on the forms?

I've attempted to fill out an online form only to confuse the software with no taxable income.
